Inspired by A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which is the Christmas Eve service held in King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England, we will hear nine readings from the Christian scriptures, paired with traditional Christmas carols and special anthems performed by UUCC’s Chalice Choir and friends.

Join us for a special Unitarian Universalist Diwali holiday service, where we will celebrate the annual Festival of Lights. Diwali (also known as Deepavali, meaning “row of lights”) represents the triumph of light over darkness and the unity of diverse traditions. The musical ensemble TVAMEVA will be our guests, and will explore universal themes of hope, love and inner light through shared stories and music.

As a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association, we promise we will “cherish Earth and all beings by creating and nurturing relationships of care and respect.” In this service, Rev. Paige Getty and others invite us to explore what it means to be embodied, and to embody love as an act of faith.
