What’s Your Pleasure | Rev. Anthony Jenkins

Anthony Jenkins will lead us in a service exploring life’s relationships — and the vested interests we often unknowingly bring into them. Together we’ll consider the not-so-obvious ways in which emotional roots from our past branch out into our present day actions & interactions.

Let Go and Grow | Adrian Graham

Join Adrian Graham, UU seminarian, for a service entitled “Let Go and Grow.” As Unitarian Universalists, we collectively affirm and promote “acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations.” What might actual adherence to this, our 3rd Principle, look like in practice today? In living these values, might we find salvation?

What You Pay Attention to Grows | Rev. Paige Getty

One of adrienne maree brown’s core principles of Emergent Strategy is “What you pay attention to grows.” In this service, Rev. Paige Getty will explore how this principle applies to us as individual persons of faith and as a religious institution.

Ingathering & Water Ceremony | Rev. Paige Getty

In this traditional UUCC Ingathering service — including a water ceremony — we will celebrate the beautiful diversity of this spiritual community and honor the sacred nature of water, its healing and destructive powers, and the inequities around the U.S. and the world in accessing clean, healthy water.

Bring a bit of water from a sacred source for the ceremony, bring a potluck dish (if possible) to share, and plan to join other congregants for a luncheon following the worship service!

To The Place I Belong | Youth Service

Last month, ten UUCC youth traveled to McDowell County, West Virginia to support the work of Big Creek People in Action (BCPIA). Through volunteering with BCPIA’s housing rehab projects and conversations with local residents, the youth encountered new perspectives and insights on what is meant by community. This Sunday, hear the teens share stories and reflections of their experiences living, working, and learning together.
