Images of nature and theology are simultaneously used in many Christian hymns to evoke feelings of wonder, hope, and humility. Using hymns as our text, this service will explore the power of these themes in feeling both connection to and making a mark in the world.

Democracy as a Spiritual Practice | Rev. Paige Getty

On this Sunday when we anticipate our congregation’s Annual Meeting in the evening at 6:30 pm, Rev. Paige Getty and others celebrate the democracy that is UUCC – where every voice and every vote has its place, and where, as 19th century Unitarian minister Theodore Parker said, “Democracy means not ‘I am as good as you are,’ but ‘You are as good as I am.’”
