The teens of YRUU — UUCC’s youth group — explore the question embedded in their name: “Why are you you?” In asking themselves this question, they arrived at more questions: “Why do you do what you do?” and “Why do you believe what you believe?” and more. In this service, teens will share personal reflections in response to these questions and challenge all of us to plumb the depths of the unanswerable whys.

Paige Getty, Kelli Danaker, and Becky Reese—who was the winner of the 2022 sermon raffle at the UUCC auction—will share excerpts and lessons from Johnny Gruelle’s Raggedy Ann and Andy stories that model living the values of love, kindness, honesty, generosity, caring, and helpfulness. Everyone, of every age, is welcome in this interactive, multi-generational worship service.
